Make UK, the manufacturers’ organisation, is dedicated to the future of manufacturing.

Everything we do is designed to help manufacturing and engineering businesses evolve, innovate and compete locally and globally. Having the right skills is vital for the future of our industry and we are dedicated to developing the workforce of today and of the future.

Our apprenticeship programmes are focused firmly on the skills our industry needs with comprehensive programmes that covering key manufacturing and engineering specialities. From our Technology Training Centre and our new Technology Hub in the West Midlands, our expert team delivers programmes of training focused on building the skills employers’ need for the future, delivering world class skills and knowledge that give apprentices the foundation to excel.

No two companies are the same, so Make UK creates a custom recruitment, qualification and training plan for everyone we work with.

Make UK can deliver training in conjunction with our network of vetted local training providers or at our purpose-built Technology Training Centre and Technology Hub in Birmingham. If apprentices are not local, they can take part in our residential apprenticeships scheme. Make UK's training is endorsed and accredited by key industry and national awarding bodies, including City & Guilds, EAL and Pearson. We currently hold a Grade 2 Ofsted rating.

We are all about manufacturing. We know the current needs of manufacturers and where the industry is headed. Our teaching staff all have extensive experience specifically in manufacturing. All our staff are well-versed in the best methods for imparting technical skills training to young people.

We actively work with government policy makers to help them create policies that are in the best interests of manufacturers across a range of subjects including apprentices and skills. As policy experts, we are in prime position to advise manufacturing employers on available and upcoming funding for apprenticeships.
