Make Venues is putting its support behind a number of meeting and events industry initiatives focused at a more sustainable and green industry. The support comes following the launch of Make a Difference, the venue group’s identity for its sustainability work both within its venues, but also in partnership with its clients and partners.

As well as supporting the mia’s #20percentless, through a series of initiatives within its venue, the group is also putting its support behind #waronplastic and #managebetter campaigns. On top of this Make Venues is also encouraging a ‘micro to macro’ based educational strategy that demonstrates the massive impacts that event businesses can have, just by doing small things.

“Sustainability is an incredibly emotive subject that we’re trying to address with our usual pragmatism,” commented David Vaughton, Managing Director, Make Venues. “We’ll be creating educational pieces that show the massive results that small actions can make within hospitality businesses. But we’re also sharing and supporting existing initiatives within the industry as well; there is a lot of good work going on at the moment, and as a leading brand we’re keen to support as many as we can.”

Make Venues re-branded from EEF Venues at the beginning of 2019 and has since launched Make Food and now Make a Difference, to communicate the different product areas of the venue group.
