On-the-job Training (OJT) Techniques Training

This is up to a 2 day course, depending on numbers attending, which enables delegates to develop a basic understanding of how to produce and deliver a simple training session in the workplace to develop skills and knowledge of other members of staff and trainees.

These skills and techniques are invaluable in supporting the development of personnel in the workplace and when properly documented and delivered can support standardised skills and competency training as part of an organisation’s skills matrix.

OJT Techniques Training

The training will start with a ½ day classroom based session, for up to a maximum of 8 delegates that will cover the basic principles and considerations of a simple training session. The delegates will then have a short time to produce a session plan prior to delivering a short 15 minute training session on a subject of their choice or specialisation which will then be critiqued by the Tutor and other members of the course. It is essential that the delegates observe and provide feedback for all of the other session as part of their own development. This will not only lay a foundation for future OJT sessions designed to develop staff but will give the delegates confidence in their ability to develop and deliver a structured, simple training session.
