Managing Absence
This half day course is aimed at line managers and supervisors that regularly manage absence in the workplace. Delegates will learn about the different types of absence and the impact of them, practical activities will support the embedding of the learning on topics such as short term absence, long term absence and how to get people back to work through adjustments, return to work plans, and phased returns. This course also covers an introduction to capability dismissals and the processes involved.

By completing this course, delegates will be able to: Understand the causes of absence and manage absent employees effectively and appropriately. Plan and conduct return to work interviews with consideration of any ‘reasonable adjustments’ that need to be made. Understand the process during fair capability dismissals.
