IOSH Working Safely - eLearning
The IOSH Working Safely course is a perfect first step into the world of health and safety. The awareness level course introduces you to a foundational understanding of core health and safety topics in the workplace. The training will give employees at all levels the information they need to keep themselves and others safe at work.
The lack of complex legal jargon allows the training to focus on the practicalities people need to know to do their jobs safely and healthily, for them and for their colleagues.

IOSH Working Safely is aimed anyone and everyone in a working role who wants to learn the basics of safety and health.
Pre-requisites
There are no specific entry requirements for this course.
Course content
This course is split into four modules:
- Introducing working safely
- Defining hazards and risk
- Identifying common hazards
- Improving safety performance

- Hazard and risk management
- Common hazards
- Machinery safety
- Chemical safety
- Legal responsibilities
- Fire precautions
- Accident prevention
- Manual handling
- Working with display screen equipment (DSE)
Duration
The course takes about 4-8 hours to complete, but this self-guided learning style means that learners can complete the course at their own pace.
Assessment
There is a two-part assessment, consisting of a short 20-minute multiple-choice section, and a 10-minute hazard spotting exercise.
Outcome / Next Steps
A digital IOSH certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the IOSH Working Safely course and is included within the price. If you would like a printed certificate, please let us know, these are available from IOSH at an additional charge of £21 plus VAT per certificate.

Delivery method
This course is delivered via eLearning.
eLearning, sometimes called Online, enables learners to study when and where they want. Delegates will have 6 months to complete the course.
