Course content

This seminar is delivered in conjunction with our partner law: matix – a specialist data protection law firm - to expand your practical GDPR knowledge into your pan-business functions, including, finance, sales and marketing, procurement, IT and operations.

Delegates can choose 4 breakout sessions throughout the day to understand the direct impact of GDPR to your business.  All sessions have limited availability and will be run subject to a minimum number of delegates.  We will contact you prior to the event for your preferred sessions. 

Delegates can choose to attend 4 sessions from the following:

  1. Drafting GDPR compliant privacy notices, privacy policies and consents
  2. Drafting internal data protection policies and procedures
  3. Direct marketing – collecting and monetising data and profiling and use of opt-out/in and the effect of Privacy Regulations.
  4. Data subject rights – what they are and how to comply
  5. Selecting and contracting with suppliers and other third party processors 
  6. International transfers – how to ensure they are lawful
  7. Data Breach management and notification
  8. Retention – setting policies and applying them
  9. IT matters:  Privacy impact assessments and data protection impact assessments, privacy by design and default, data minimisation, pseudonymisation, anonymisation
  10. Accountability, record keeping, monitoring compliance and audits

Senior business leaders, heads of departments, those with compliance or operational risk responsibilities and personnel whose roles involve processing personal data that is core to the business.
