Emergency First Aid at Work Training
Course content
This course covers the following subjects:
- Role of a First Aider
- Priorities of First Aid
- Managing an Incident
- Causes and care of the unconscious casualt
- Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Bleeding and Shock
- Choking
- Burns and Scalds
- Anaphylaxis
- Manage the Transportation of a Casualty
- Record Keeping & Accident Reporting
- Practical demonstration and use of an AED
Assessment
Assessment is via a 20 multiple choice question paper at the end of the day. Following successful completion of the course, each student is awarded with a HSE recognised certificate which is valid for 3 years.

There are no pre-requisites.
