CQI IRCA ISO 14001:2015 Internal Auditor course will provide delegates with an understanding of auditing an effective environmental management system.

The ISO 14001 CQI IRCA Internal Auditor course gives a thorough introduction to environmental management, together with the requirements for EMS implementation.

This course is for any member of staff who will be involved in the internal auditing of the environmental management system of a company.

Pre-requisites

To remain in-line with CQI IRCA requirements, attendees should have a basic understanding of ISO 14001:2015.

Course content

The aim of this course is to provide you with the skills needed to assess and report on the effective implementation of an environmental management system. The knowledge objectives that you should have achieved at the end of this course are being able to: 

• Explain the purpose and structure of ISO 14001:2015 
• Explain the principles and processes used for the assessment of environmental aspects and impacts. 
• Describe the responsibilities of an internal auditor. 
• Describe the role of the internal audit in the maintenance and improvement of the environmental management system. 
• Be able to plan, conduct and report on an internal EMS audit.

Duration

This course is completed over 2-days.

Assessment

There is no examination for this course. Successful completion of the course is measured by continuous assessment; learners are required to actively participate in and show good understanding during group discussions, exercises and knowledge checks.

Outcome / Next Steps

Learners who successfully complete the course will receive an internationally recognised CQI IRCA approved Internal Auditor certificate for the ISO 14001:2015 Standards.
