In a communication to members this week UK Steel Director General, Gareth Stace took time to acknowledge a difficult year for members, while highlighting some of the key achievements made for the sector by UK Steel.

Referring to a frustrating year dignified by political gridlock, changing government, Brexit anxiety, and now the further upheaval of a General Election, he went on to highlight key policy wins for the UK Steel, such as the launch of the UK Steel Procurement Charter aimed at improving public procurement of steel produced in the UK. He also outlined some of the service provision designed to benefit members.
